The Mission of the Sacramento Regional Center for International Trade Development is to advance Northern California’s global competitiveness through training and services in international business and trade.

In a world brought closer by advances in technology, telecommunications and transportation resulting in regional trade agreements such as NAFTA, CAFTA, and MERCOSUR, every business feels the impact of a global market.

With 95% of the world’s population living outside the United States, more California businesses are choosing export as their strategy to increase sales. Others are importing products from abroad to reduce costs or access new products and services. Along with the prospects of increasing sales and world connection come the risks of international trade.
